How Well Do You Know Your Bible?

Every Sunday beginning at 9:30am we offer a way to get more familiar with your Bible. Sunday School is our way of training Sovereign Grace Church to know their Bibles and grow in their love for the God who authored it.

JOIN US THIS SUNDAY

We are moving through the book of Hebrews, but you can jump in right now. This one book draws from all over the Bible providing you an opportunity to expand your understanding of major Biblical themes.

First Friday Fast - July

Join us in fasting on the first Friday of every month in 2018. Church members who fast for all 12 Fridays will be invited to a year-end party to celebrate the answers to our prayers.

If fasting is new to you, here are some instructions.

SMALL GROUPS

Our prayer focus for July is our small group ministry.

  • Pray that God would give wisdom and guidance to each of the small group leaders.
  • Pray that our meetings would be marked by the work of the Spirit.
  • Pray that the groups would grow in love for one another.
  • Pray that small group members would share openly about their lives with one another.
  • Pray that small groups would have the means to meet one another's material needs.
  • Pray that those in our church without a small group would soon find one.
  • Pray that more small group leaders would be identified and provided opportunities to lead.
  • Pray that more small groups would be formed as more people join our church.
Baptisms Make Us Glad

THANK YOU GOD

On Sunday we watched as two precious people made public commitments to Jesus Christ. We are grateful God has saved them. We are grateful they are among us.

CONGRATULATIONS BRIANNE AND KRISTINE

When We Don't Like God's Methods

The Second Complaint

On Sunday, church member Grant Sigafoos continued our 3-week series in Habakkuk preaching from Habakkuk 1:12-2:20. He reminded us that God's ways often leave us scratching our heads. Or worse, His ways upset us. He uses evil people for good purposes. He authorizes tragedy instead of preventing it. In these moments, our great act of faith is simply to pour out our complaints to God and then wait for Him to respond.

Listen to the sermon.

The Best Way To End A Church Service

This Sunday we will be ending our service with baptisms out in the garden. It is one of the great joys of the Christian life to watch others commit to following the same Jesus we follow.

DON'T SPLIT BEFORE THE BAPTISMS

Be a witness. Be there to celebrate the grace of God. Be there to encourage your brothers and sisters.

IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN BAPTIZED...

You can get baptized this Sunday, but you need to act quickly. If you have believed in Jesus but have never been baptized then learn more about baptism and fill out the form ASAP. A pastor will be in touch to make sure you're ready.

Church Budget

We publish updates on our financial status throughout the year. A final annual report is published every Fall.

These figures represent the grace of God at work in the members and friends of our local church. It's unmistakable. God is being kind towards us and we want to thank Him and you.

Thank you.

Of course, numbers are only a small fraction of all the way our church is contributing to the ministry of our church. Wouldn't it be great if we could publish a monthly report on your generous affections for one another? Or all the hours you spend together? Thank you for living no longer for yourselves but for God and your neighbor!

May the accounting of His provisions encourage your faith. Please continue to pray that we would steward it all for the advance of His gospel and the good of His church.

Get Baptized This Sunday

DEAD TO SIN, ALIVE TO CHRIST

Baptism is the outward sign of an inward change, a heart that has been made alive by the power of God. Baptisms please God, encourage the church, and proclaim the gospel to those who don't yet trust in Christ.

We will be holding a baptism immediately following our service this Sunday, July 1st.

IF YOU'RE A CHRISTIAN, DON'T WAIT

If you have believed in Jesus but have never been baptized then take advantage of this opportunity to confess your faith publicly. Learn more about baptism and fill out the form ASAP. A pastor will be in touch to make sure you're ready.
