Pray For Our Men's Study

Men talking like men about God

Tonight, the men of the Men’s Study get together for their monthly meeting to discuss Conscience: What It Is, How to Train It, and Loving Those Who Differ.

Will you join us in praying that God would use their time to engage their hearts and sharpen their thinking about this important, biblical topic?

Thanks for praying with us.

The Final Verses Of 1 Peter

4 Parting Words

On Sunday Pastor Eric finished our series in 1 Peter by preaching from 1 Peter 5:6-14. This letter has reminded us not to be surprised by suffering. We need to remember that our lives are not out of control, God is guarding us, we are not alone, and this will end well.

A Place For Men To Think And Talk

“Christian freedom is not ‘I always do what I want.’ Nor is it ‘I always do whatever the other person wants.’ It is ‘I do what brings glory to God. I do what brings others under the influence of the gospel. I do what leads to peace in the church.’”
-Andy Naselli & J.D. Crowley

The quote above is from Conscience: What It Is, How to Train It, and Loving Those Who Differ, the book we’ll be studying in the Men’s Study this Spring.

Pastor Dustin will host and lead our study on the second Tuesday of the month from February through May. Spots are limited and you must be able to commit to the four meetings.

This is a place for men to talk like men about God. This is a place for men to grow.

Gentlemen, get yourselves registered.

*Deadline to register is February 5th.

Get In On Our New And Improved Men's Study

“We need to brace ourselves up and to realize that we are responsible for thoughts, attitudes, and actions. We need to reckon on the fact that we died to sin's reign, that it no longer has any dominion over us, that God has united us with the risen Christ in all His power and has given us the Holy Spirit to work in us. Only as we accept our responsibility and appropriate God's provisions will we make any progress in our pursuit of holiness.”
-Jerry Bridges

Can You Keep The Law Of God?

That’s the question at Sunday School this week.

Know What You Believe
Know Why You Believe It

We are working through the New City Catechism developing our understanding of core Christian beliefs.

Sundays
9:30am
Woman’s Club Gardens

For the new Christian, come and learn what you believe.

For the veteran Christian, clarify and sharpen your convictions.

Additional Resources

  • Use the web app or mobile app to take yourself through the catechism. There are 52 questions and answers, one for each week of the year. Memorize the question and answer for each week and engage with the material they provide. There is also a devotional to help you meditate and apply what you’re learning.

  • Make time for your family to go through it together and utilize the New City Catechism for kids.

The more we learn about God, the more we love Him.

In The Beginning

God Sets the Stage for His Glory

On Sunday Pastor Eric preached the first verse of the first book in the Bible, Genesis 1:1. He reminded us that the most important thing about creation is that it happened. God is the answer to the quest to explain why there is a universe in the first place. That He created is the very foundation of all knowledge. We know something about everything. What do we know? It’s all for His glory.
