Look Nowhere Else For Spiritual Blessing

EPHESIANS 1:3-14

On Sunday guest preacher Robert Jacobsen showed us the glory of God's grace in our salvation. In Christ we have all we need. We are slaves who've been liberated. We are orphans who've been adopted. All of God's eternal blessings belong to us through our union with Jesus Christ.

Sing Your Story

This Sunday we sing a new version of an old song. And Can It Be? sets the story of every Christian to a beautiful melody. It's nothing short of a miracle that we now adore a crucified Savior. We who were imprisoned in sin have been liberated by Jesus. We live forever to know and enjoy Him. All of this is His doing and it makes us glad to sing.

AND CAN IT BE?

Verse 1
And can it be that I should gain
An int’rest in the Savior’s blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love, how can it be
That Thou my God shouldst die for me?

Chorus
Amazing love, how can it be
That Thou my God shouldst die for me?

Verse 2
He left His Father’s throne above
So free, so infinite His grace
Emptied Himself of all but love
And bled for Adam’s helpless race
’Tis mercy all, immense and free
For O my God, it found out me!

Verse 3
Long my imprisoned spirit lay
Fast bound in sin and nature’s night
Thine eye diffused a quick’ning ray
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light
My chains fell off, my heart was free
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee

Verse 4
No condemnation now I dread
Jesus and all in Him, is mine
Alive in Him, my living Head
And clothed in righteousness divine
Bold I approach th’ eternal throne
And claim the crown, through Christ my own

Pray For Your Small Group Leaders

Our small group ministry isn't just one option among many ministries of the church, this is THE ministry.

BIG MEETINGS
SMALL MEETINGS

Our big meetings are our Sunday services. Our small meetings are our small groups. This is where we get to pursue one another and grow in our understanding of the gospel and how it applies to our lives. Without small groups, we wouldn't be able to love one another because we wouldn't know one another.

OUR SMALL GROUP LEADERS MEET 4 TIMES EACH YEAR

They are meeting this Friday and appreciate your prayers for God to use them and equip them as they lead.

We Are Men On A Mission

Our first ever Men's Retreat is in the books. The Sovereign Grace churches of Orange, Pasadena, and Santa Ana joined forces for 44-hours of teaching, singing, eating, and manly competitions.

God Met Us

As we focused on our gospel mission God filled us with fresh faith, cared for men who were in need, and crystallized our role in His plan. Plus, we had a ton of fun. Our friendships grew as we ate bugs, played soccer, and threw frisbees at each other. We are freshly aware of the gift that God has given us in the men of our churches.

Thank You For Sending The Men

Some of you were generous and sponsored guys who couldn't afford to go. Wives did double duty while the men were away. Thank you for making the sacrifices necessary to send men up the hill.

You Cannot Ask God For Too Much

Ephesians 3:14-21

On Sunday, guest preacher Mark Prater showed us that God has an infinite amount of strength, goodness, knowledge, and wisdom. His love surpasses knowledge. He is an unending well from which we must continually come to drink. We access Him and His power by praying.

The Small Army That Serves Our Families

Every Sunday a handful of church members step out of our service to provide a safe and secure place for our children to play and learn. Not only do they provide a wonderful gift to our parents, but they make an impact in the lives of these kids. Approximately 1/4 of our church members serve in this ministry.

WE ARE GRATEFUL

To those who serve us faithfully in children's ministry: thank you. Your service is a sign of God's grace that we get to see every week. Redeemed people now serving God by serving us.
