Serving For Jesus' Sake

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
Colossians 3:23-24

To run our services every Sunday we rely on a team of volunteers. They do it for us and their Savior.

They don’t do it to be recognized, which is why it’s so much fun to publicly recognize them.

This past Sunday we had Scott on his last day with the video team training Paul to replace him. Nate on the drums preparing to lead congregational singing while being a dad to his kids. Zac, Ben, Joey, and Anne cleaning our projection screen.

This is only a small sampling. There are volunteers welcoming guests, making coffee, caring for children, printing bulletins, teaching Sunday School, setting up and tearing down, and participating in our liturgy.

All of them are proof that the Lord is at work among us. A community of people who serve Jesus by serving us.

We thank God and we thank you for serving.

Serve God And Make Us Glad

"...whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies." 1 Peter 4:11

It takes a small army of volunteers in order for us to hold services every week. These folks serve because they love their Savior and they love us.

If you are looking for a way to serve the church, we've got opportunities for you. No degree or previous experience required. We'll train you. All you need is to be available and willing.

In particular, we are in need of volunteers for:

  1. Bulletin Team - creating and printing our bulletins.
  2. Sunday Operations - setup and teardown for our services.

Please contact our church office and we will help you get plugged in.

It Takes An Army Of Volunteers

Servants of the Chief Servant

Every Sunday a small army of volunteers sets up our chairs and equipment, greets guests, provides music for our services, and cares for our children. They do it in response to Jesus who came not to be served but to serve and lay down His life.

If you would like to find a way to use your gifts to serve on Sunday mornings, we invite you to get in touch. We have opportunities and would love to get you plugged in. Please contact our church office right away and we will get back to you.

We Love Servant-Leaders

Servants Who Lead

Leaders Who Serve

This past Sunday, we treated the small group leaders and ministry leaders of Sovereign Grace Church to an afternoon of free coffee and dangerous sports (check the pics!). It was a small way to say "thank you!" for the many selfless ways they serve us.

Make sure to thank God for them.
