We Want Good Things

But we want them badly.

On Sunday Pastor Eric preached from Genesis 29-30. Here we find a host of people just like us. They want good things but they want them too much, just like us. We make idols out of the good things God gives us. Yet, God’s grace can’t be stopped by idolaters and cheaters. His mission to save sinners continues in spite of our sins.

Dead To Sin, Alive To Christ

Baptism is the outward sign of an inward change, a heart that has been made alive by the power of God. Baptisms glorify God, encourage the church, and proclaim the gospel to those who don't yet trust in Christ.

We will be holding baptisms immediately following our Sunday morning service on May 23rd.

If you trust in Christ, get baptized

If you believe in Jesus but were never baptized then take advantage of this opportunity. Learn more about baptism and fill out the form if you're ready.

We're An Outdoor Church

Let’s Make Year 2 Better Than Year 1

On Sunday, Pastor Eric announced that we are planning to keep our service outdoors for the foreseeable future. There are many reasons for this, but the most encouraging is that many church members wanted to do what was best for those who would struggle to meet inside. The pastors agreed and we’re gearing up to meet outside for awhile.

Watch for changes in the coming weeks. We are working on better options for shade, signage, and a host of other improvements to make our outdoor services more comfortable for members and guests.

Thank you for continuing to be a faithful, gracious, gospel-centered church in Old Towne Orange. May God bless our ministry!

Pastoral Team Retreat
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

“Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honorably in all things.”
Hebrews 13:18

Pastors Eric, Mike, and Dustin are taking a 2-day retreat this week to pray, discuss, and plan. They love serving us as undershepherds of the Chief Shepherd. Our Savior is working among us through their leadership and service.

Take a moment to join us in pray the following for them:

  • Ask the Lord to refresh their hearts as they seek Christ together.

  • Ask the Lord to bless them with fruitful discussions and plans for future ministry.

  • Ask the Lord to give them guidance and wisdom.

  • Ask the Lord to meet them in their times of prayer and fellowship.

  • Ask the Lord to continue to grow their friendships with one another.

  • Ask the Lord to fill them with His Spirit as they lead.

  • Ask the Lord to care for their families while they’re away.

Thank you for loving, following, and praying for our pastors!

Grace Unleashed

On Sunday Pastor Eric preached from Genesis 28. Here we find Jacob in the middle of the desert fleeing from a bad situation at home, wifeless, and childless. Some of his own poor decisions are to blame. Yet God powerfully and graciously meets him, speaking again of the great promises that belong to Jacob by grace. Though we are often unfaithful and always undeserving, God’s grace regularly breaks into our lives. He is the gracious God we so desperately need.

Two New Additions

Congratulations to Israel, Bethany, and big brother Lucas!

The twins have arrived. The babies and their mom are healthy. But they showed up early, so they’ll be in the NICU for a few weeks. Join us in praying that they’ll be home soon.
