Our small groups are the backbone of our community life. It's here that we grow as followers of Jesus in the stuff of everyday life. We listen to one another. We pray for one another. We offer godly counsel to one another. We meet one another's needs.

Our groups are led by and filled with church members. People who love Jesus and want to grow in His grace. They meet twice each month on either a Wednesday or Friday evening.

Our every-other-year Men’s Retreat is just a few weeks away. The three Sovereign Grace churches of California are joining forces for another weekend of teaching, fellowship, food, and competitions. Our last one was fantastic.
Ben Kreps, a pastor from our sister church in Harrisburg, PA, is our guest speaker. Our theme is “The Power of God: How the Gospel Conquers Men.” Young men ages 14 and up are welcome to join.

Join us in Sunday School as we continue through Proverbs. This week we talk about God’s will for our work. How can we work hard and avoid laziness? How can we be good stewards of our time and energy? How can we accomplish things that matter to our Maker?
These are important questions. Let’s survey God’s answers together.

Sunday, March 8th is our annual communion service. Daylight savings kicks in and we give you 7 extra hours of sleep. We cancel the morning service and invite you to join us in the evening for a meal focused on the Lord’s Supper.
Sunday, March 29th is our annual freestyle chili cook-off. If you call it chili, we will judge you. There’s food. There’s fun. This will be one for the books.
On Sunday, guest preacher John Loftness shared a message from Matthew 16:13-20. He reminded us that the church will never cease to exist. We don’t have to worry about whether or not we’ll make it. Jesus brought the church into existence. Jesus will keep it. We must remain faithful to Him.

Once a year we offer a course on the biblical principles of financial stewardship. The classes are conducted in a small group setting, using a discussion format and curriculum adapted from Crown Ministries and Money and the Gospel.

Materials cost $30 per person or $55 per couple. Scholarships are available.
Our Women’s Study is an opportunity to apply God’s truth to the unique roles and callings of women. We do this together as a community of redeemed women.
In January, we begin working our way through Delighting in the Trinity by Michael Reeves. One reviewer describes the book this way, “I am hard pressed to think of a book I’ve highlighted so heavily, a book that has impacted me so immediately, and a book which I am so eager to read again so quickly.”
Women's Study is for all female regular attenders of Sovereign Grace Church age 14 and older. The session starts January 28th, 2020.
