Don't Get Distracted

It’s too easy to get sidetracked

On Sunday Pastor Eric preached from Genesis 6:1-8. He pointed out that there are many details in this book that threaten to derail our focus (e.g. the Nephilim and sons of God from our text). But we need to keep our eyes on the main storyline. Genesis tells of a God with an unwavering commitment to bring Himself glory by blessing His people, even when they get way off track. That’s our story too.

Listen to the sermon.

Jesus, There's No One Like You

“The only way we can have any access to God, any sight of God, any knowledge of God, any fruition of God, is in and through the God-man, Jesus Christ. Christ makes theology possible; he makes worship possible; he makes communion with God possible; and he makes heaven on earth possible.”
-Mark Jones

The glory of Jesus will be our eternal song. This Sunday, we’re teaching you a new song to meditate on the unique glory of our Savior. Come ready to sing with us.

JESUS, THERE’S NO ONE LIKE YOU

Verse 1
There is no song we could sing
To honor the weight of Your glory
There are no words we could speak
To capture the depth of Your beauty

Chorus
Jesus, there’s no one like You
Jesus, we love You, ever adore You
There’s no one like You
Jesus, we love You, ever adore You, Lord

Verse 2
There is no sinner beyond
The infinite stretch of Your mercy
How can we thank You enough
For how You have loved us completely?

Bridge
All we have
All we need
All we want is You

Pastor Eric Preaching In Korea

A rare chance to see Pastor Eric ministering on the other side of the globe

Back in the fall we sent Eric to South Korea to engage and care for pastors in Seoul. He had the opportunity to preach at a sister church, Lord’s Grace Church. You can watch the sermon above.

We’re grateful for that church. We’re grateful we can send Eric to preach the gospel to folks we will never meet. This is the fruit of your generosity.

Pray For Our Small Groups

6 Small Groups
12 Meetings Per Month
Many Lives Impacted

Our small groups are the backbone of our community life. It's here that we grow as followers of Jesus in the stuff of everyday life. We listen to one another. We pray for one another. We offer godly counsel to one another. We meet one another's needs.

(If you haven’t yet joined one, get an invite here.)

Our groups are led by and filled with church members. People who love Jesus and want to grow in His grace. They meet twice each month on either a Wednesday or Friday evening.

Wes' First Sunday Leading Worship

Training leaders is a community project

On Sunday, Wes led worship for the first time in one of our services. We are grateful for the hours he has put in to study and prepare as he completes his worship leader apprenticeship. He’s done all of this to bring God glory by leading us to sing God-centered, Christ-exalting songs.

As a church, we want to produce the next generation of church leaders in Orange County. You have a part to play. By making space for, encouraging, and praying for new leaders you are playing a crucial role in their development and growth. Keep at it, Sovereign Grace Church.
