Baptism This Sunday

DEAD TO SIN, ALIVE TO CHRIST

Baptism is the outward sign of an inward change, a heart that has been made alive by the power of God. Baptisms please God, encourage the church, and proclaim the gospel to those who don't yet trust in Christ.

We will be holding a baptism immediately following our Sunday morning service this week.

IF YOU’VE NEVER BEEN BAPTIZED, HERE’S YOUR CHANCE

If you have believed in Jesus but were never baptized then take advantage of this opportunity. Learn more about baptism and fill out the form if you're ready.

We Have Already Won

It Often Feels Like We Are Losing

On Sunday our deacon, David Christensen, preached from 1 John 5:1-5. He reminded us that life is filled with obstacles, challenges, and resistance. We overcome them by looking to Jesus who has already won. We can be confident that we share in His victory because He has given us new spiritual life, He has manifested the love of God to us, and we see the fruit of obedience He is producing in our lives.

Listen to the sermon.

First Friday Fast - October

Join us in fasting on the first Friday of every month in 2018. Church members who fast for all 12 Fridays will be invited to a year-end party to celebrate the answers to our prayers.

If fasting is new to you, here are some instructions.

SOVEREIGN GRACE CHURCHES

Our prayer focus for October is our denomination, Sovereign Grace Churches.

  • Pray for God to meet the leaders of our churches at the pastors conference this week.

  • Pray for God to give faith and vision to the leadership team as they lead Sovereign Grace in our mission to make disciples by planting and strengthening local churches.

  • Pray for the men and their families currently enrolled in the pastors college, that God would provide for them and equip them for future ministry.

  • Pray for God to prosper the work of Sovereign Grace Music as they continue to produce Christ-exalting music for the local church.

  • Pray for the US regions of Sovereign Grace to produce and deploy church planters to reach more neighborhoods and cities.

  • Pray for wisdom as we establish new partnerships around the globe with churches and church networks that share our values and treasure our gospel.
