On Sunday Pastor Eric preached from Romans 5:12-21. If God simply gave us a second chance we would mess it up a second time (and third, and fourth...). Instead God sends us a second Adam, Jesus, who does what the first Adam couldn't do. He saves us from all of our failures to obey God by obeying Him perfectly.

This past Sunday, Pastor Lucas reminded us that God met our greatest need by paying the greatest cost at just the right time.
Pastoral Resident Kyle Houlton reminded us that we cannot love God or others enough to enter God's kingdom. But through the love of Christ on the cross we don't have to. His love poured out on us has made us citizens who love God and love our neighbors.

Christians not only hope in a better tomorrow, they find hope in the very experiences of suffering and affliction now. It's not that we don't ask God for relief. We do. We pray for the sick. We pray for provisions. We pray for blessings today.
However, we know that we even the worst of this life is intended for our good.
Pastor Dustin continued our series through the Book of Romans, asking the question "What kind of faith did Abraham have?" What does saving faith look like?
Our need to be forgiven for our sins and reconciled to God was resolved before we began living like Christians. He made us right before he helps us "Do what is right."
We are morally and legally justified only on account of God's gracious work in His Son on our behalf. Nothing we can do or be will ever merit his mercy and grace. Sola fide!
Last Sunday Pastor Eric continued our study in the Book of Romans. The text was what many would call the "the greatest paragraph ever written."
