Sign Up For A Fall Class

WE GROW TOGETHER WHEN WE STUDY TOGETHER

Our Fall classes, one for men and one for women, begin in just a few short weeks. Make sure you register before they fill up.

You must be a regular attender and able to commit to a series of meetings in order to participate.

Train Your Conscience

"It doesn't do any good to be stricter than God!"

Our study through Romans has brought us to a famous section in chapters 14-15 on how to deal with disagreements between Christians. Some Christians understand that they are free in Christ to do all sorts of things. Some feel bound by their conscience to restrict themselves. This makes for clashes.

For those who want to dive deeper into this issue, the Pastoral Team recommends the book Conscience: What It Is, How To Train It, and Loving Those Who Differ. This book will help you understand what your conscience is, why God has given it to you, and how to relate to other Christians whose consciences are different than yours.

Below is a sampling of some of the best quotes from the book:

"A church that thinks it has gotten beyond last generation’s debates over music and wine will find that this generation’s debates over recycling and child discipline are just as divisive."

"The conscience is your consciousness of what you believe is right and wrong."

"Only the cross can fill that ever-widening gap between your consciousness of what you ought to be and your actual obedience."

"Feeding excuses to your conscience is like feeding sleeping pills to a watchdog."

"A regular diet of Scripture will strengthen a weak conscience or restrain an overactive one."

Pray For Your Small Group Leaders

Our small group ministry isn't just one option among many ministries of the church, this is THE ministry.

BIG MEETINGS
SMALL MEETINGS

Our big meetings are our Sunday services. Our small meetings are our small groups. This is where we get to pursue one another and grow in our understanding of the gospel and how it applies to our lives. Without small groups, we wouldn't be able to love one another because we wouldn't know one another.

OUR SMALL GROUP LEADERS MEET 4 TIMES EACH YEAR

They are meeting this Friday and appreciate your prayers for God to use them and equip them as they lead.

Christianity Means Community

"Christianity means community in and through Jesus Christ."
Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Community Is Not A Buzzword

Christians need one another. There's no way around it. God intends to use other Christians as a primary source of comfort, guidance, friendship, and growth. Community isn't just a buzzword for us.

A Concrete Expression of Community

Small Groups are our concrete expression of community. It's where we focus our attention on the "one anothers" of Christianity. It's where we go to be helped in our Christian walk and where we go to help others. It's not the only way to do it. But it is our way.

You're Invited

If you are already a part of a small group, praise God! But if not, we want to extend an invitation. Come and pursue godly growth with us. Head here and fill out the form. We'll be in touch ASAP.

Follow Jesus In Small Groups

No Lone Ranger Christians

The Christian life is a life in community. We experience fellowship with God and with God's people. His primary strategy for our growth involves the input, care, and counsel of other Christians.

At our church, small groups are the place where we make sure this happens. Join us in experiencing the beauty of Christian community by getting involved in a small group.
