God's Truth People in a My Truth World

GALATIANS 4:12-20

We gather every Sunday to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed. God's Word is preached and the Holy Spirit transforms our hearts. We expect to encounter Jesus and be equipped to better serve him each week.

Thanks to all who missed the sermon because you were serving during the service. We are grateful for you and couldn't have done it without you. Enjoy listening to the recording.

What Can You Bring to the Communion Service?

COMMUNION SERVICE 3/12 AT 5PM

Our annual Communion Service is this Sunday at the Woman’s Club. Our regular morning service is cancelled and the Communion Service begins at 5pm. This is a potluck so we need your help to make it happen! See below for what to bring and other questions you may have. If you would like to help out or have additional questions, contact Sue Card.

FAQS

What should I bring?

  • Households of 1 or 2, bring a side (green salad, mashed potatoes, macaroni salad, etc.).

  • Households of 3 or 4, bring an entree.

  • Households of 5 or more, bring a side and an entree.

  • We’re counting on volunteers for dessert. If you want to bring something sweet to share, please do!

Is a baby/toddler included in my household size?

If you expect your child to eat the food with us, please count them.

Will there be childcare?

No. We’ll be together the entire time, so don't feel bad about getting up and down from your seat with your children. Think of it like a family dinner.

Who should take communion?

All who have trusted in Christ for the forgiveness of their sins whether members or guests. Click here to read our beliefs about communion.

How can I keep my dish warm?

Plan to bring your crockpot. You’ll be able to plug it in at the buffet table.

I have special dietary needs. Will there be food for me to eat?

This is a potluck so everyone is contributing. We would advise you to bring something you know you can eat.

Are guests and regular attenders welcome?

Yes! We would love for all to join us.

New Curriculum and New Memory Verses

We’ve got some exciting news for the spring. We recently launched our new curriculum—the Gospel Project—by teaching our kids about Samson and Ruth. It’s going great. This curriculum will better serve our kids and families by clearly teaching the gospel in fun and engaging ways. Contact Andrew Maples if you would like to receive our weekly emails that help you bring each lesson from the church to your home.

Another easy way to bring the Bible home is our Bible Memory Verse Challenge. View the spring schedule here or download the printable version for your home. Here’s our verse for March:

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3

Start practicing and get ready to recite on the 26th. Everyone who recites gets to pick a prize from our legendary treasure chest!

Pray for Our Partners Around the World

Be A Part of Our Missions Right From Your Home

God is doing amazing things around the world through our network of churches. Click here to read stories about his redemptive work in places like the Philippines, Ethiopia, Germany, and Mexico. How does this relate to you? Not only will these stories encourage your soul but you can be a part of the mission too! Take a moment to pray for our partners by looking at the prayer requests below.

1. Pray for Jeffrey Jo, Lead Pastor of CCSGM Manila, Cavite, as he pulls together seven of our key SG Philippines Pastors for the first half of our SG Pastors Immersion Training in Manila. This training will help to put some key foundations into Sovereign Grace Churches Philippines.

2. Pray for our SG Asia-Pacific Pastors Conference, 28th-30th March, in Manila, Philippines. Folks will be traveling from Australia, Nepal, India, South Korea, Pakistan, and the US to attend. Please pray for Dave Taylor, Jeffrey Jo & Mark Prater as they lead this conference.

3. Please pray for Dyonah Thomas, Lead Pastor of Gracelife Church in Monrovia. He has recently been diagnosed with colon cancer and will be heading to Accra, Ghana, for further tests.

4. Pray for our team of SG Pastors who are traveling to Amman, Jordan, March 4-9th, to train ten Pastors from Pakistan. These Pastors have a long relationship with our family of Churches, represent well over 100 Churches, and are keen to explore full partnership with Sovereign Grace.

5. Pray for our brothers in LATAM, as they have a busy month ahead! Please pray for Carlos Contreras as he leads a Simeon Trust Preaching Workshop in Guadalajara, March 8-9th; for Aberlado Munez as he leads the same Workshop in Juarez, March 13-15th; and for Joselo Mercado as he speaks at the Revive our Hearts Conference, an 8000 strong conference, in Guadalajara, March 31-April 1st.
