Heading To Thailand For Jesus

This past Sunday we were introduced to a family headed to Thailand this winter. They plan to work there long-term in conjunction with Sovereign Grace Churches and Pioneers with the goal of reaching the lost and establishing local churches.

This family is actually a part of a larger team. Three different families from three different sister churches. A team of like-minded households leaving everything here to answer the call to go there.

If you would like to follow their story or even contribute financially, contact Pastor Eric. He will pass along their information.

We Are Not Moving To Canada

God hasn't given up and neither must we.

Last Sunday, Pastoral Resident Kyle Houlton preached part 3 of 3 of our sermon series regarding the subject of government. Drawn from Romans 13, he reminded us that the government is God's idea. The Apostle Paul says that the authorities are his servants and ministers, for justice and welfare. Even when we are tempted to give up and move away, we are reminded that Jesus is the true and everlasting king.

This complete our series and we highly recommend you listen to all three during this election season.

Book Recommendation: God And Politics

In a society where religion is increasingly private, and faith is OK as long as it's not shared, many would seek to keep God out of their politics. But is that right, and is it biblical? This is an important topic to consider, not just for those working in government, but for all of us as we seek to be responsible citizens in a fallen world. Mark Dever unpacks what the Bible has to say on this topic, and teaches how we can "Give back to Caesar what is Caesar's" without compromising on what we believe. We'll see that our duty to God is comprehensive and that there isn't an area of life that we can separate from His influence. This little book won't take long to read, but its impact could last a lifetime.

You can purchase this book on Amazon, but we have a better price at our bookstore in the church lobby :)
