We Are Starting More Small Groups
DSC_0227.jpg

Your ministry is prospering.

Our small groups help us follow Jesus in the everyday stuff of life. Meetings, text messages, meals, and prayers. Your doing it. It's your ministry. People are changing. God is blessing your work.

As our groups grow, they lose some of the small group dynamics. This is why we start new groups. We want everyone to experience what we have been enjoying. We want to make room for new people both in our homes and our lives. We only have some much time and space.

The Sohie Group

The Adam group in North Orange is multiplying. Dylan and Christy will begin leading the existing group as Nate and Anne start a new one in Old Towne Orange. Both will be meeting on Friday nights. The new group will begin in October.

If you would like to join the new group, email Nate for more info. If you are new and not sure what group is best for you, click here to fill out a form.  We will send you info on all the groups.

The Street Fair Is Coming

Labor Day Weekend

Old Town Orange hosts one of the greatest block parties on the planet. A half million people visit our neighborhood every Labor Day weekend for food and entertainment. You can check it all out at www.orangestreetfair.org.

FYI parking is a challenge. Plan on arriving early for church and then heading out with friends to explore the fair.

Final Summer Concert

This is our last opportunity to enjoy the summer concert series at Hart Park. Our city does this every summer. Bands from all over Orange County, representing a wide array of musical genres, invade Hart Park every Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:30pm. Bring a chair, a blanket, some snacks and come enjoy the city of Orange on a warm summer night with some friends.

How Did We Get Here?

The church didn't begin 5 years ago in Old Town Orange. Something happened long before Sovereign Grace hit the ground in Orange County. Our Sunday School will use the next seven weeks to answer the question: "How did we get here?"

7 church Councils that shape what we believe

Sunday School is where we actively read our bibles together, learn together, and mature together. We meet every Sunday prior to our service in the Woman's Club garden from 9:30-10:15AM.

Do You Know The Higgins House?

The home of Old Towne's first furniture seller.

Gordon Wilmar Higgins, 84, remembers drinking “homemade brew” in the basement of his grandfather’s house in Old Towne Orange. He was, he figures, about 7 years old.

“As a little kid, they let me come down there and they’d give me a little jigger of their booze,” he recalled, leading a reporter on a tour of the property.

The house, built in 1924, is on the market at $1.095 million.

The 1,928-square-foot, Mediterranean Revival style house, with its opera balcony, is a rarity in Old Towne, with blocks full of Craftsman homes and bungalows.

This one was known as the “Higgins House,” for the original owner, George’s grandfather, who built the home and was the first furniture seller in the area.
