Deacons

On Sunday Pastor Eric preached from 1 Timothy 3:8-13. In this passage, the Apostle Paul profiles deacons: officially recognized servants of the church. These men preserve pastoral ministry by allowing the pastors to focus on the work of shepherding. They aren’t stewards of the status quo, but rather move the mission of the church forward. They are dedicated to those who are in distress, ensuring that no needs go unmet in the church. We’re grateful to God for our deacons and are praying he raises up more.
