Church Member Meeting This Sunday

We gather twice a year for all-church member meetings. The pastors use these to equip us to be healthy, productive, informed church members. We need you there.

Sunday, June 1st
Immediately After our service

It’s an open meeting; all members and regular attenders are invited. Pack a lunch or bring cash for buck-o-slice pizza. Contact the church office with your questions.

Next Sermon Series: Life in Christ

We begin a brief two-week sermon series on May 25th, entitled Life in Christ. The series answers two questions every Christian must be able to answer, based on the Sovereign Grace Catechism.

Question 61: How do we grow to be more like Christ?

Question 63: What sustains us in the suffering and sorrow of this present life?

BTW This would be a great time to purchase a copy of the Sovereign Grace Catechism. Or download a copy for free here.

We Prayed For Parents and Children Last Night

We love children. They are a gift from God. We take our responsibilities to nurture and train them seriously. And so we prayed last night for those who long to be parents, parents of young children, and parents of older children.

Join us for our next Prayer Service. June 10th, 7PM at the Woman’s Club. We’ll be praying for the sick.

Pray for our Church Counsel Tonight

Once a year, our pastors and deacons gather to coordinate their work on our behalf. Together they form what we call our Church Counsel. This is always an important meeting. They are balancing the biblical priorities of pastoral ministry and diaconate ministry. You can learn more about these two official church roles by following the links.

Our church counsel meets tonight at 7PM. Please take a moment to pray for them…for gifting, wisdom, a growing love for Jesus, and the strengths that come from a team of leaders. Ask God to bless them with joy and unity and courage. Pray for the wives represented.

Volunteer For Our October Worship Conference

We are hosting the next Sovereign Grace Music conference here in California! This is a big opportunity for us to pursue our ambition to spread the joy of Jesus to every Californian. If you are a church member, we need your help.

Sovereign Grace Church members can register for free by using the promo code VOLUNTEER. We also have free swag and a super secret meet-up with our sister churches during the conference.

FYI Will Kim is our leading our group at the conference. Connect with him if you have any questions.

Prepare to Give On Easter Sunday

This Easter Sunday we are receiving a special offering for our new audio system. Better sound, safer equipment, easier set up, and deeper roots in Old Towne Orange.

Can you believe it? We have set up and packed away our sound system nearly 675 times!

This is our largest investment yet. The Woman’s Club will be paying to install new acoustic treatments in the room. We will be permanently installing our audio system, making a few upgrades, and donating new equipment that will enable the Woman’s Club to utilize our speakers during their functions and events.

We need $14,000.

Please consider contributing to this project. You can give online by designating our Opportunity Fund here. We will be collecting an offering in person on Easter Sunday, April 20th.
