Celebrating God’s Gift of the Local Church

February is our Church Membership Month. This month is meant to show the joys and privileges of belonging to a local church. Each week we’ll hear member testimonies pertaining to the four aspects that define our culture: joyful, generous, ordinary, neighbors. It’s our goal to encourage our members to continue serving and treasuring God’s church.

See What God is Doing and Get Involved

We helped host two gospel outreaches on Orange High School’s campus this week. On Monday, we got food, a guest speaker and gathered students in the gym during lunch to hear the gospel. Each student filled out response cards and received follow up materials (e.g., Bibles, church invitations, etc.). On Tuesday, we hosted a lunch event in one of the classrooms. Two students gave their testimony and we presented the gospel to a room packed full of students.

What does this mean for you? We want you to get involved. Continue to pray for the students at Orange High and our work on campus. We’re also looking for church members who want to meet students and help out with events. If that’s you, contact Andrew Maples for more information.

We gather every Sunday to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed. God's Word is preached and the Holy Spirit transforms our hearts. We expect to encounter Jesus and be equipped to better serve him each week.

Start by Joining Us Tomorrow Evening

Make a resolution to serve our community more this year. We have plenty of opportunities at the House of Hope starting tomorrow evening (1/25) at 6:30pm. We’re there twice a month to serve a meal, spend time with the residents, play games with the kids, and more. Come see and experience all the great things the Lord is doing there. We are heading down to the Plaza for food and fellowship immediately after the Sunday service. Bring your blanket, chair, and whatever else you’ll need. We’ll have our famous Buck-O-Slice Pizza. If you’re a guest, your lunch is on us!

Baptisms On Sunday, February 5th

Baptism is a public testimony of what Christ has done in the believer’s life. It's a means of grace, a reminder of our hope, and symbolic picture of our identification with Jesus—our death, burial, resurrection, and new life. If you want to know more about baptism, click here.
