You Should Be Baptized

In Sunday’s sermon, Pastor Eric made a few brief comments about baptism. But we realize more discussion may be needed.

Baptism is an outward sign of an inward reality.

Has God been at work in your life? Have you trusted in Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins? Do you want to live for him? If so, you're probably ready to be baptized.

What if I'm not ready?

You might not be. Talk to a pastor. There are reasons to wait...mostly because some isn't sure they are a Christian. However, more often than not people hesitate and miss out on this wonderful part of the Christian life.

Hit the link below and fill out the form. If you've read to the end of this post, then you're ready to start talking about your baptism.

The Cutest Sunday Ever

Our Very First Children’s Choir

On Sunday 10 of our kids sang in our first-ever children’s choir. It was cute. It was sweet. It was memorable.

But most importantly, our kids are learning the truths of the gospel through music. May God use these songs to open their eyes to the glory of Christ.

Humiliation Before Exaltation

How Jesus Prepares Us For Faithful Suffering

On Sunday Pastor Eric preached from 1 Peter 3:18-22. With talk of Jesus preaching to spirits in prison and Noah’s ark symbolizing baptism, this passage has confused many. But don’t let it deter you. At the heart, it speaks of Jesus’ humiliating death and triumphant resurrection. Both of those prepare us to suffer for righteousness’ sake.

Your 2020 New Year's Resolution

Join Our Morning Prayer Meeting

Every Tuesday morning from 6:30am-7:15am we gather for prayer in Old Towne Orange. We pray because we are needy and God is generous. We pray because the Lord invites us to ask persistently (Matt. 7:7-8). God is using our prayers to accomplish His purposes.

We’re On Holiday Break

We won’t be meeting for prayer on 12/24 or 12/31, but plan to join us on the first Tuesday of 2020 (January 7th).

We know not everyone is able to attend. But if you can, make this part of your weekly schedule.

Get all the details here.

And if you need a reminder, sign up and get a text message every Monday.

We can’t wait to pray with you.

Join The Men's Study In 2020

“Christian freedom is not ‘I always do what I want.’ Nor is it ‘I always do whatever the other person wants.’ It is ‘I do what brings glory to God. I do what brings others under the influence of the gospel. I do what leads to peace in the church.’”
-Andy Naselli & J.D. Crowley

The quote above is from Conscience: What It Is, How to Train It, and Loving Those Who Differ, the book we’ll be studying in the Men’s Study this Spring.

Pastor Dustin will host and lead our study on the second Tuesday of the month from February through May. Spots are limited and you must be able to commit to the four meetings.

This is a place for men to talk like men about God. This is a place for men to grow.

Gentlemen, get yourselves registered.

*Deadline to register is January 19th.

A New Course For The New Year

The Emerging Leaders Course

Beginning in January, the west region churches of our denomination are beginning a new class for church members focused on theology and biblical studies.

Pastor Mark Alderton of Sovereign Grace Church of Aurora is leading the class. He will be joined by other pastors who will step-in to cover different parts of the material.

The class is designed for both men and women. The commitment is 5 hours of reading per week and 1 video call per month. You’ll get the chance to hear from teachers outside of our church with specific areas of expertise. You’ll interact with brothers and sisters from our partner churches throughout the western United States.

We can’t encourage you enough to consider joining.
