This week is our regularly scheduled Intro Course. The Intro Course is the perfect next step if you want to get to know Sovereign Grace Church better.

The class is led by a pastor and hosted in their home. Join us this Sunday 10/7/2018 right after out service from 12:30pm-2:30pm. Lunch and childcare are provided.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The Intro Course is for any and every guest of Sovereign Grace Church. Whether you've attended for 1 Sunday or 100 Sundays. Whether you're a Christian or not. Whether you want to join as a member or have no idea what membership is.

A couple weeks ago we asked for volunteers to help us serve children in the foster care system here in Orange County. No surprise, but we had a handful of volunteers step up to the plate. On behalf of Sovereign Grace Church, they re-decorated and designed a room for children to have visits with their family.

A huge thanks to Mark, Michelle, Dylan, Christy, and Wendy.

This week your pastors and a few church leaders are heading to Orlando for our denomination’s annual pastors conference. A few days to learn, listen, sing, and be refreshed. Leading our church is their privilege and every year this conference better equips them to serve us.

Here are a few ways you can be praying:

1. Pray for unity, joy, and progress in our shared mission with Sovereign Grace Churches.

2. Pray for the speakers’ messages to have a lasting impact.

3. Pray that weary pastors and ministry leaders would be encouraged.

4. Pray for family members and church members back home who are sending their loved ones to the conference.

We Can’t Have Passion for Something We Take for Granted

This Sunday we had the privilege of hearing a dear friend and pastor of Sovereign Grace Church of Sydney, Dave Taylor, preach from Ephesians 2:19-22. He reminded us that the church is the dearest place on earth. Together we’re a temple where God dwells. Together we’re a family with God as our Father. Together we’re a bride whom Jesus cherishes and is preparing for her wedding day. The key is that we can only be these things together.

Tomorrow, our worship team hosts their annual bandcamp. A full day of praying, learning, and, of course, friendly competition. Singing every Sunday at Sovereign Grace is so enjoyable because of their undistracting leadership. We are grateful to God for their commitment to serve us every week.

As they meet tomorrow, here are few things you can be praying:

1. That God would fill them with greater affections for Jesus.

2. That God would grow their friendships and appreciation for one another.

3. That God would bless their service and skills as musicians.

4. That God would add more members with new and diverse talents to the team.

5. That God would continue to meet us through singing on Sundays.

We publish updates on our financial status throughout the year. A final annual report is published every Fall.

These figures represent the grace of God at work in the members and friends of our local church. It's unmistakable. God is being kind towards us and we want to thank Him and you.

Of course, numbers are only a small fraction of all the way our church is contributing to the ministry of our church. Wouldn't it be great if we could publish a monthly report on your generous affections for one another? Or all the hours you spend together? Thank you for living no longer for yourselves but for God and your neighbor!

May the accounting of His provisions encourage your faith. Please continue to pray that we would steward it all for the advance of His gospel and the good of His church.
