As small groups go, so goes the life and health of the church. We value Small Group ministry so much that every member is asked to participate regularly. Gathering together throughout the week to intentionally care for brothers and sisters doesn’t happen on accident. We must plan for it.
If you haven't found a group yet, find one here. All groups meet on the first and third (Wednesday/Friday) of every month. Sync your calendar here.
On Sunday Pastor Dustin preached from Romans 13:1-7. God is at working shaping our view of the government. We submit to those in power because God has placed them there, not because they're perfect. In fact, the government is broken in many ways. It's run by broken people. Yet we trust that God is working through them. We aim to be good citizens of God's kingdom by being good citizens of the earthly one.
Book recommendation from the sermon: God and Politics by Mark Dever.
Baptism is the outward sign of an inward change, a heart that has been made alive by the power of God. Baptisms please God, encourage the church, and proclaim the gospel to those who don't yet trust in Christ.
We will be holding a baptism immediately following our Sunday morning service on July 1st.
If you have believed in Jesus but were never baptized then take advantage of this opportunity. Learn more about baptism and fill out the form if you're ready.
If you looked out in the garden on Sunday, you'd have seen our newest volunteer in Children's Ministry: Deacon Dave.
A huge thanks to Dave and the rest of the children's ministry volunteers. Every week they make sure that children have a safe and secure place to play and learn while their parents hear the sermon.
We are on lookout for more volunteers. You don't need to have any superpowers. You just need to have a heart to serve families by keeping their kids engaged for 45 minutes. The commitment is one Sunday per month.
Review our children's ministry documents and then fill out an application to get the process started.
The Bible is the most important book on the planet. If you want to get better at reading and understanding Scripture then take advantage of Sunday School. The aim is to help you grow in your appreciation and application of God's Word.
If you're looking for a good time to jump in, there's no better time than now. We are making our way through Hebrews. Plan to join us!
