Church Member Meeting This Sunday

This Sunday After The Service

All members and regular attenders are encouraged to stay over this Sunday for a bi-annual Church Members meeting. One hour, BYO lunch with our world famous Buck-O-Slice pizza available.

You eat. The Pastoral Team speaks. Everyone goes home better equipped to participate in the life and mission of our church. Our agenda this Sunday will include our efforts to hire an additional staff pastor and also updates on our work in Santa Ana.

We Sing What We Love

We sing about Jesus because we love Him.

We sing about Jesus because we need Him.

This Sunday join us in singing a new song that connects our great need to our even greater Savior. Listen above or use our Spotify playlist so that you're ready to sing with us.

CHRIST IS MINE FOREVERMORE
Verse 1

Mine are days that God has numbered
I was made to walk with Him
Yet I look for worldly treasure
And forsake the King of kings
But mine is hope in my Redeemer
Though I fall, His love is sure
For Christ has paid for every failing
I am His forevermore

Verse 2
Mine are tears in times of sorrow
Darkness not yet understood
Through the valley I must travel
Where I see no earthly good
But mine is peace that flows from heaven
And the strength in times of need
I know my pain will not be wasted
Christ completes His work in me

Verse 3
Mine are days here as a stranger
Pilgrim on a narrow way
One with Christ I will encounter
Harm and hatred for his name
But mine is armor for this battle
Strong enough to last the war
And He has said He will deliver
Safely to the golden shore

Tag
And mine are keys to Zion city
Where beside the King I walk
For there my heart has found its treasure
Christ is mine forevermore

Bridge
Come rejoice now, O my soul
For his love is my reward
Fear is gone and hope is sure
Christ is mine forevermore!

Sing Goodbye to Death

Jesus' invincible life breaks the grip that death has on us!

This Sunday, we sing "Goodbye" to death.

Listen above and check out the lyrics below so that you are ready to sing along with us. You can also listen to this song (and many other good songs!) by heading to our Spotify playlist.

Verse 1
When death shows his face and bares his teeth
May we with faith run to Calvary
Not one shed tear, no strand of grief
Falls to the ground and goes unseen

Chorus
Death is defeated, and Jesus reigns
Tell the world there is hope in His name
He pushed back the darkness, He conquered our sin
And Christ will make all things new again
And Christ will make all things new again, new again

Verse 2
We’re blinded by trials, our lives marked with pain
Shadows surround us, but there's hope today
When sorrow runs deep and the night is long
May we find peace in the Savior’s song

Verse 3
The sun it is dawning it pierces the night
It cuts through the shadow with redemption’s light
The fallen will rise, the weak will be strong
Death turns to life in our Savior’s arms

Welcome To Our New Church Lobby

We love guests.

Get ready for some big changes this Sunday. We are working to serve our guests and newcomers better.

The Bookstore is gone. The food and drinks are fancier. There is a new Welcome Desk with all kinds of documents.  And best of all, a brand new team of volunteers dedicated to helping our guests get the most out of their visit.

46 Steps To Preaching Romans

One bite at a time.

Our new sermon series through the Book of Romans is going to challenge us all. Hopefully it will change us.

In an effort to help you get all you can out of every sermon, we've been providing you with a number of resources. Get yourself a good commentary. Print out a copy of the text without chapters and verses. And here's another one. A breakdown of the letter by sermon units.

Below are the 46 sermons we are planning on preaching. Lots work goes into how you divide the text and there are many right ways (and a few wrong ways too). Here's our plan to date. Take the list and use it as you study on your own. Hopefully knowing where we are going will help you. We pray it does.
