Last week, we saw that Peter pointed his readers to Jesus' promise to return as an important part of the truth believers should know and embrace. He reminded them that this message was no mere myth, but a truth attested to by the historical appearance of Jesus' majesty (Matthew 17) and by the promises made by the prophets. This week we will look to chapter 2 and will hear a solemn warning and a stabilizing truth. Join us as we look into God's word so that we might know him better, and see him glorified in our church, our community, our families, and our lives.
The third Sunday of Advent is already upon us and we couldn't be more thrilled! Every opportunity to behold Christ together is a good opportunity in our book.

Luke 2:10-11:
"And the angel said to them, 'Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.'"
Last week in Sunday School we dove into Peter's teaching about divine revelation and talked about the importance of the word of God in our lives. Join us this week as we continue that discussion and wrap up the first chapter of 2 Peter.
Last week in Sunday School we talked about 2 Peter 1:3-11. We discussed the truth that Peter discloses about the grace we've received from God and saw that God's "granting" is the foundation of our "making every effort" to grow in knowledge and in grace.
Join us this week at 10am as we look into Peter's statements about the majesty and wonder of divine revelation in the second half of 1 Peter chapter 1.
The Advent season begins this Sunday and we will be starting it off right with a beloved Christmas hymn! Here are our songs for this week:
