Our Men's Study is monthly conversations in an informal setting, with "men talking like men" about God. The topics are chosen to challenge the group and the discussion leader provides a few resources to prepare for the meeting.
You don't need to be a scholar, but you do need to be male, 18 years or older, a regular attender of Sovereign Grace, and willing to commit to a series of meetings.

Last Saturday many of our church leaders gathered for a day of fellowship, prayer, and planning. It had been an entire year since their last retreat. Life moves fast in Old Towne Orange and they needed this time together.
They spent the entire morning celebrating all the ways they see God at work in our church. Big, small, ordinary, and spectacular. Pages and pages of notes about the evidences of God's grace in you.
Lunch was for fun and competition. This ended with a round of Man-Up.
The afternoon was mostly spent about new initiatives and plans for the coming year (starting this month). These guys are ambitious and 2018 is shaping up to be another big year.

This year we will be reading Housewife Theologian: How the Gospel Interrupts the Ordinary by Aimee Y. Byrd. Although the book's cover might not seem the most appealing, this book is filled with rich, gospel truths that apply to all women, regardless of season.
Buy the book and email Christy for more info and directions. We will be meeting the second Tuesday of every month through May 2018.
Many of our leaders will be heading out for a one day leadership retreat this Saturday. We do this annually. It's a strategic moment in our life together as a church.
Please pray for them. Thank God for them. Ask the Lord to meet them as they prepare to serve us this next year. They love us and want our collective ministry thrive in Old Towne Orange and beyond.

This is our last opportunity to enjoy the summer concert series at Hart Park. Our city does this every summer. Bands from all over Orange County, representing a wide array of musical genres, invade Hart Park every Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:30pm. Bring a chair, a blanket, some snacks and come enjoy the city of Orange on a warm summer night with some friends.
